Channing Dungey of Warner Bros. to be Featured Speaker at Banff World Media Festival

Warner Bros. TV Group Head Returns to Banff World Media Festival as Keynote Speaker

Warner Bros. Television Group chairman/CEO Channing Dungey is set to return to the Banff World Media Festival as one of its keynote speakers in June. The festival announced on Wednesday that Dungey will join a lineup that also includes Fox Entertainment CEO Rob Wade as a summit series keynote.

“We’re thrilled to have Channing Dungey back as a keynote speaker,” said Banff executive director Jenn Kuzmyk in a statement. “Channing’s expertise and insights are crucial in shaping the future of the entertainment industry. She is a visionary whose influence goes beyond screens.”

Dungey is responsible for overseeing Warner Bros. TV Group’s scripted, unscripted, and animated series for streaming platforms, cable, and broadcast networks. Before her role at Warner Bros., she worked as the vice president of original series at Netflix and as ABC Entertainment president.

The 45th edition of the Banff World Media Festival will take place from June 9 to June 12, 2024 at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel in Banff, Alberta, Canada. Previous Summit Series keynote speakers have included industry leaders like Jeffrey Katzenberg, Paula Kerger, Pearlena Igbokwe, Bela Bajaria, Ted Sarandos, and Maverick Carter.

The festival will feature behind-the-scenes master classes, 1,200 facilitated networking opportunities, and over 25,000 meetings focused on the global media industry. A new segment called “Soundtrack” will focus on music on screen
