Unlock the Secrets of Lost Treasure: Interactive Science and Mushroom Foraging Adventures in Cuba, NY
Join us for an exciting adventure at the Cuba Circulating Library! On Wednesday, July 10 at 1:00 pm, we’re hosting The Adventure of the Lost Treasure, where you’ll participate in interactive science experiments that bring the story to life. From chemical reactions to physical explosions, this program is a must-attend for anyone interested in STEM learning. It’s open to all ages and no registration is required.
For teens aged 12-18, there’s a special opportunity to try out cool experiments using leaf blowers, confetti cannons, liquid foam, nail polish remover, and more. On Saturday, July 13 at 3 pm at Bush Hill State Forest, we invite adults to join a guided mushroom ID hike with Sam Warren. This foray will focus on expanding eco-literacy through mushroom identification and understanding their roles in ecosystems. Our NYSOGA licensed hiking guides Sam Warren and Brandon Miller have over 25 years of combined foraging experience and are both NY Wild Mushroom Safety Certified.
