Unforgettable Weekend of Soccer: Shawnee Hosts 2024 Eastern Regional NCS
The 2024 Eastern Regional NCS, hosted by US Youth Soccer, is set to take place at Shawnee Sports Complex in Kanawha County, West Virginia. This event will begin on June 27 and will feature 232 teams competing for the regional championship.
Shawnee has been selected to host this event for the fifth year in a row, and it is the largest event held at the complex, with a $32 million economic impact on the area. West Virginia is well-represented in the competition, with 16 teams vying for the regional championship.
Kanawha County Commission President Lance Wheeler commended the efforts of all involved in making the event a success, especially after hosting US Youth Soccer the previous week. State Commissioner Ben Salango expressed excitement about hosting the event and hopes to see great performances from the local teams.
Over 10,000 people are expected to attend this exciting event, which will be held at both Shawnee Sports Complex and Barboursville Soccer Complex.
