Tragic Loss of Scientist and Sports Fan: Dylan Pariseau’s Untimely Death and Legacy

Dylan Pariseau, a 27-year-old man with a passion for science and an infectious personality, was tragically killed in a double murder-suicide in Wilbraham. He and his mother, Sima Setian Pariseau, were killed by Sima’s longtime partner, Peter Donaldson, who then took his own life.

Dylan graduated from Minnechaug Regional High School in 2015 and later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and chemistry from Keene State College in 2019. He worked as a research associate at Moderna Therapeutics and later became a senior research associate at Verve Therapeutics. His obituary speaks of the tremendous amount of friends and family who will miss his infectious personality.

Outside of work, Dylan was a huge fan of Boston sports, especially the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, and Bruins. He enjoyed watching games in the city with loved ones. Dylan had a special talent for forming deep friendships with anyone he met, something his sister and others greatly appreciated about him.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in Dylan’s name to Survivors Empowered, a non-profit supporting and educating gun violence survivors, or the Baystate Health Foundation Neo-Natal Unit. Visitation for Dylan will be held on Wednesday at St. Cecilia Church in Wilbraham, with a funeral scheduled for Thursday at the same location. Burial will be private
