Israel takes responsibility for attack that killed foreign aid workers – Poland and Britain call for inquiry

Tragic Loss of Life: The International Response to the Attack on World Central Kitchen Aid Convoy in Gaza

The recent attack on the convoy of the World Central Kitchen aid organization resulted in the deaths of several citizens, including Polish and British nationals. The American aid organization accused Israel of a “targeted attack” on their employees. Seven aid workers were killed when Israeli armed forces attacked them in Deir al-Balah, a city in central Gaza Strip.

The convoy was carrying humanitarian aid that had been shipped from northern Gaza. Among those killed were Australian, British, Palestinian, Polish, and dual Canadian-American citizens. Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu admitted responsibility for the attack but stated that it was not intended to kill the aid workers. The Israeli armed forces apologized for the attack and promised to investigate.

The aid organization has suspended its operations in Gaza after the incident. Countries whose citizens were killed in the attack condemned the incident and demanded answers from Israel. Investigations into the attack are underway as global outrage continues to grow over this senseless loss of life. Humanitarian aid workers and civilians should never be targets of violence, and countries around the world are demanding justice for those who lost their lives in this tragic event.
