Tragic Accident: 80-Year-Old Woman Killed by Elephant in Zambia on Car Safari

An 80-year-old American woman was killed by an elephant while on a car safari in Zambia last weekend. The woman, along with five other tourists, was chased by the elephant for hundreds of meters until the driver had to stop the vehicle due to a road blockade caused by vegetation.

The incident occurred in the Kafue National Park in Zambia and has been circulating on social media, causing shock and disbelief among those who have seen it. The elephant, which had become separated from its herd, unexpectedly started chasing the tourists as they were guided through the park. One of the tourists in the car caught the chase on film before the driver had to stop the vehicle due to a road block caused by vegetation.

The elephant managed to tip over the vehicle with its tusks, resulting in death for the 80-year-old woman and serious injuries for another tourist who had to be evacuated to a hospital in South Africa. The other tourists sustained minor injuries and are receiving trauma counseling.
