Timber Lake High School Students Shine at High Plains Regional Science Fair, Earn Trip to Los Angeles: Shawn Quinn’s Winning Project Showcased

Shawn Quinn’s winning project, “Ultrasonic Haptic Awareness: Phase 2,” has earned him a trip to the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair in Los Angeles next month. The project was showcased by Quinn at the recent High Plains Regional Science Fair in Rapid City, where it won the top prize.

Quinn’s success at the regional fair has earned him the opportunity to represent the High Plains region at the upcoming prestigious science and engineering fair in Los Angeles. His project was selected as the first-place qualifier for the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair, standing out among the top-scoring projects in the senior division.

Timber Lake High School students dominated the fair, with two of them taking home the top awards. The High Plains Regional Science Fair is a remarkable event that inspires young scientists to pursue their passions and make a positive impact on society through their research and innovation.
