The Emir’s Call for Kuwaitis: Exercise Your Right to Vote and Build a Better Future Together

Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Emir of Kuwait, has called on Kuwaitis to participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections scheduled for next Thursday. In a televised speech, he emphasized the importance of citizens exercising their constitutional right to vote and not boycotting the elections, as doing so would neglect their responsibility to choose their representatives.

The Emir expressed hope that the elections would result in a distinguished council with enlightened members who are capable of fulfilling their national responsibilities. He warned against divisive rhetoric and the manipulation of voters’ emotions, calling for a focus on building the future of the country and the well-being of its citizens.

Sheikh Meshaal highlighted the importance of preserving Kuwaiti national identity and denounced attempts to manipulate Kuwaiti nationality, emphasizing that protecting the nation’s identity is vital for its survival and governance. He called on citizens to stand together and safeguard the interests of Kuwait and its people in the face of any attempts to sow division or discord.

As preparations for the elections begin, polling centers are being set up in schools across Kuwait. The Director of Election Affairs Department at Ministry of Interior announced that schools have been allocated for voting and counting centers, ensuring a smooth and transparent electoral process for all Kuwaitis.

In conclusion, Sheikh Meshaal urged everyone to make informed choices in this election cycle while keeping in mind what is best for Kuwait’s future generations. He emphasized rejecting personal interests and working towards a common goal: building a better Kuwait for all its citizens.
