College Sports Communicators Select Four Men’s Swimmers for Academic All-District® Teams

Swimming Stars Shine Both in the Pool and the Classroom: Tufts University Men’s Swimmers Earn Academic All-District® Honors

In 2023-24, four Tufts University swimmers have been recognized as Academic All-District® Men’s Swimming & Diving Teams by College Sports Communicators (CSC). This award acknowledges student-athletes who excel in both the pool and academics. Graduate student Peter LaBarge and juniors Emmett Adams, Charlie Duffy, and Eric Lundgren are the recipients of this honor.

To be considered for this recognition, student-athletes must meet specific criteria. They must be key contributors to their team with a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA at their current institution. Each team is limited to four nominations. The selected individuals must have competed in at least four competitions or placed in the top eight at a conference meet.

LaBarge received this recognition for the second consecutive year while Adams, Duffy, Lundgren, and LaBarge major in psychology/clinical, human factors engineering, environmental engineering, and biology respectively. Together they helped Tufts University finish ninth at the NCAA Division III Championships and as the runner-up in the New England Small College Athletic Conference under head coach Adam Hoyt.

The CSC Academic All-America® program recognizes swimming and diving athletes from NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA separately. Academic All-District® honorees move on to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. The first, second
