Stock Markets Flat on Monday as Await Economic Data Release

On Monday, US stock indices opened muted as investors are awaiting economic data including inflation. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 14.93 points, or 0.04 per cent, at the open to 38,656.76. The S&P 500 opened higher by 0.22 points at 5,026.83, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 10.05 points, or 0.06 per cent, to 15,980.62 at the opening bell.
