At approximately 9 a.m. on Wednesday, a stabbing incident took place inside the Strozzi Building of the Buffalo Psychiatric Center campus in north Buffalo, according to local media outlets. The attack resulted in three staff members being injured by a patient.

The New York State Office of Mental Health is actively assisting the Buffalo Police Department in their investigation of the incident, emphasizing that the safety of their staff and the individuals they serve is their top priority. They expressed concern for the injured employees and their families.

Local news sources reported that two men and one woman were injured in the stabbing, which took place shortly after 9 a.m. The injured staff members were transported to a hospital, with one of them believed to be in serious condition. The suspect involved in the stabbing was taken into custody by authorities.
