On Friday, at approximately 5:30 p.m., the Howell Police Department responded to a report of threats made at a local business located on the 100 block of W Grand River Ave. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man who had been shot inside the building. One individual was taken into custody.
The police department issued a statement stating that there is currently no threat to the public and that the incident did not occur near the Balloonfest event. It was described as an isolated incident, and all individuals involved are cooperating with the investigation. The police department requested that the public refrain from visiting the scene to allow investigators to carry out their work.
