Schnucks’ New Business Accelerator Program Promotes Diversity and Encourages Entrepreneurship

Schnuck Markets, Inc., a family-owned grocery retailer, is proud to announce the launch of SchnucksSpringboard, a business accelerator program designed to support diverse-owned businesses. This program offers education, resources and access to local opportunities in partnership with the non-profit Mid-States Minority Supplier Development Council.

To apply for the program, business owners should visit schnucks.com/springboard before May 12th. Accepted participants will have the opportunity to conduct in-store product trials at select Schnucks stores, receive $5,000 of equity-free funding and participate in business development classes at Schnucks’ headquarters in St. Louis.

Schnucks has been committed to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion since its founding in 1939. In 2020, they launched their Unity Is Power plan which focused on community support for organizations promoting racial equity such as the Urban League. For their efforts, Schnucks was honored with the Civic Leadership Award by ULSTL and recognized as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity by Newsweek in 2024.

With over 115 stores across Missouri, Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin and nearly 12,000 employees, Schnucks is known for its dedication to the community. They annually donate over $15 million in food to pantries and are ranked as the 14th largest privately-owned grocer in the U.S according to Forbes’ 2023 rankings.
