Health-tracking features of new Samsung Galaxy Ring showcased in latest leak

Samsung Galaxy Ring: A Compact Smart Ring with Health-Tracking Capabilities Revealed

The Samsung Galaxy Ring, which has been teased since January, is set to be fully unveiled on July 10. Leaked screenshots from a deep dive into the code for the Samsung Health app for Android have given us a glimpse into the smart ring’s health-tracking capabilities. These images show that the Galaxy Ring can measure heart rate, stress levels, predict periods, take skin temperature readings, and even detect snoring when paired with an Android phone.

Comparing the health-tracking features of the Galaxy Ring to those of the Galaxy Watch 6 and potentially the Galaxy Watch 7, it seems that while the functionality will be similar, the form factor may be different. Smartwatches offer more features with their dedicated displays, while smart rings are more compact and lightweight. They are suitable for activities like sleep tracking or high-intensity workouts.

While some have had hands-on experience with the Galaxy Ring, more details are expected to be revealed at the next Samsung Unpacked event on July 10. This event is anticipated to showcase new foldable phones, smartwatches, and hopefully more information about the Galaxy Ring.
