Roswell, NM Commemorates World UFO Day

Roswell’s UFO Festival: Celebrating Independence Day and Unraveling Mysteries of Extraterrestrial Life

As Americans prepare to celebrate Independence Day, UFO enthusiasts are also gearing up for World UFO Day on July 2. This holiday commemorates the 1947 Roswell incident, where an Army weather balloon crashed in New Mexico and sparked conspiracy theories about a government cover-up regarding an alien spacecraft.

This weekend, the small town of Roswell is hosting its annual UFO Festival, nearly doubling its population with visitors from all over the world. During an interview on NewsNation’s “Elizabeth Vargas Reports,” City Councilor Juliana Halvorson shared that both believers and skeptics are welcome to attend and enjoy the festivities.

The festival includes costume contests, speakers, panels, and family-friendly activities. Visitors can learn more about the history of UFO sightings in Roswell and even visit the town’s UFO museum, home to the world’s largest UFO library. While Roswell doesn’t see many UFO sightings nowadays, Halvorson encourages visitors to keep an open mind and explore what’s happening in the world of UFO tourism.

Recent claims by whistleblower David Grusch about alleged government programs involving nonhuman technology and “biologics” have only fueled interest in this mysterious field. Despite denials from the US government, these claims have sparked curiosity among many people who are eager to learn more about the possibility of extraterrestrial life and its impact on our planet.
