Rory McIlroy Seeks Advice from Tiger Woods’ Former Coach, Butch Harmon, Ahead of Masters Tourney

Rory McIlroy Enlists Butch Harmon’s Help to Achieve Career Grand Slam at The Masters

Rory McIlroy, the world number two golfer, sought guidance from Butch Harmon after struggling in recent PGA Tour events. The four-time major winner has been working with Harmon to improve his game before competing in The Masters, where he hopes to become the sixth player to win all four men’s majors.

Harmon is a renowned golf coach who famously coached Tiger Woods during his early major wins. McIlroy had previously worked with him sporadically over the years. Before meeting with Harmon in Las Vegas, McIlroy shared a heartwarming moment with his daughter Poppy, who questioned why he needed a golf lesson when he already knew how to play.

Despite having nine unsuccessful attempts at Augusta to complete the career Grand Slam, McIlroy remains determined to succeed. His best finish at The Masters was second place in 2022, and he has had five other top-10 performances at the prestigious tournament. With Harmon’s guidance, McIlroy hopes to elevate his game and achieve his goal of winning The Masters.
