Load monitoring equipment specialist, Dynamic Load Monitoring (DLM), has recently incorporated wireless USB technology into their new TD-3.0 software. This software, compatible with Microsoft Windows, enables users to generate certificates, log data, and view live readings remotely using load measuring tools that connect wirelessly.
The new USB technology allows users to connect up to four running line monitors to display tension, speed, and distance values measured by each device. The data is then sent wirelessly to a computer for real-time readings or for logging information without the need for a handheld device. Ryan Phillips, the technical manager at DLM, explains that the TD-3.0 software is designed to receive data wirelessly from their load cells, which can be used either independently or in conjunction with a handheld device.
Clients have the option to use the dongle, which plugs into a PC to receive data wirelessly from load cells, allowing for display and data-logging using the software. This eliminates the need for a handheld device connected via a USB cable, making it more convenient to monitor load, speed, and distance readings on a computer. DLM is located in Southampton, UK and specializes in designing, manufacturing and servicing load measurement equipment for industries like offshore marine and lifting rigging.
