Premier Entertainment Group’s Dave Guiler Named Dothan’s Small Business Person of the Year for 2024 – Celebrating Local Entrepreneurs During Small Business Week

During a recent award luncheon held to recognize the achievements of small business owners in the Dothan area, Dave Guiler, the owner of Premier Entertainment Group LLC, was honored as Small Business Person of the Year for 2024. The event took place during Small Business Week and was organized by the Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce.

The finalists for Small Business Person of the Year were Joshue Bane of Evergreen Creative Co., Reginald Greenwood of Sister’s Soul Express, and Sandi Hodge of Shute Pecan Co. Inc. Walt Ellis, chairman of Wiregrass Wealth Management’s Membership Development Council, highlighted the significance of recognizing small business owners who often feel overlooked and underappreciated. He praised all four finalists for their deserving recognition and commended the Chamber for acknowledging their contributions to the Wiregrass area.

Throughout Small Business Week, various events are scheduled to celebrate local businesses in Dothan. These include Surprise Patrol Visits to local businesses and a Women’s Night Out event at the Chamber. The four finalists served as guest speakers at an award luncheon that was supported by Five Star Credit Union as its presenting sponsor, along with gold sponsors Barberitoes – A Southwestern Grille and Cantina, Dothan Awning and Exteriors, Eagle Eye Outfitters Inc., Bill Perkins as editor-in-chief at The Dothan Eagle encouraged readers to support local journalism by purchasing a digital subscription to keep up with the latest news on local businesses in Dothan.
