Potlatch School Educator Wins Idaho Education Technology Association Grant

Potlatch School District #285 Receives Grant for Interactive Whiteboard to Boost Student Engagement

The Idaho Education Technology Association (IETA) recently awarded a grant to Potlatch School District #285 in the amount of $1,649.00. This grant will be used to purchase a new interactive whiteboard for 3rd-grade teacher Brianna Burkgart’s classroom.

Mrs. Burkgart received this grant during the IETA Conference, which was held from February 7-9, 2024, at the Boise Center in Boise, ID. The Potlatch School District is thrilled about the funding from IETA and the positive impact it will have on both Mrs. Burkgart and her students.

Introducing this technology into the classroom will provide new opportunities for teaching and enhance student engagement. The interactive whiteboard will be a valuable addition to the learning environment at Potlatch School District, and Mrs. Burkgart is excited to integrate it into her teaching methods.

The IETA is a non-profit organization that aims to improve student learning by promoting and supporting the use of technology in Idaho classrooms. This grant is just one example of how they are working towards that goal.

Mrs. Burkgart’s students are sure to benefit greatly from this new tool in their classroom, and we can’t wait to see all the creative ways they use it to enhance their learning experience.

In conclusion, Potlatch School District #285 is grateful for this grant from IETA and excited about the opportunities it presents for both Mrs. Burkgart and her students.
