Philadelphia Radio Host Howard Eskin Suspended From Phillies Home Games for Alleged Inappropriate Touch: A Lesson in Boundaries and Consent

Philadelphia sports radio host Howard Eskin has been suspended from Phillies home games for the rest of the season due to an incident where he kissed a worker for Citizens Bank Park’s food service provider without consent. The parent company of Philadelphia’s SportsRadio 94WIP, Audacy, conducted an investigation into the “unwelcome kiss” and took action following the findings.

Aramark, the food service provider for Citizens Bank Park, cooperated with the investigations and released statements in support of the suspension. The Phillies also issued a statement expressing their seriousness about the allegations and their support for Audacy’s decision to suspend Eskin from the park for the remainder of the season.

Following their own investigation, Aramark corroborated the allegations against Eskin and worked with Audacy and the Phillies to ensure appropriate steps were taken to protect their employee and all Aramark employees at Citizens Bank Park. Eskin, who is a prominent figure in the Philadelphia sports media landscape, has been a mainstay on SportsRadio 94WIP since helping launch the station’s first sports talk show in 1986.

The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of respecting boundaries and consent in all interactions, especially in the workplace. It is essential that individuals take responsibility for their actions and respect others’ autonomy at all times.
