Paying Tribute to LaDonna L. Phelps: A Celebration of Life and Career | Your One-Stop Source for News, Sports, and Job Updates

LaDonna Phelps, a beloved member of the Newton Falls community, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, November 16, 2023. She was 64 years old and had been a devoted Christian and a member of Elberton Church of God throughout her life. LaDonna dedicated over 30 years to her career as a nurse, retiring in 2021 from Victoria House.

In addition to being a dedicated nurse, LaDonna enjoyed many hobbies in her free time. She was an avid crocheter and sewer, and she also loved to bake, play the piano, and paint pictures. She was married to Walter Phelps for over 28 years and is survived by her mother Lillian Reynolds Garrett of Elberton; husband Walter; sons Wesley Davis of Newton Falls and Tyler Phelps of Columbus; daughter Julie Davis of Newton Falls; brother Keith Garrett and his wife Karen of Lavonia, Georgia; sisters Saronda Worley, Sherry Almond, Tammie Garrett all of Elberton; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

LaDonna’s family has requested that donations be made to the ALS Association Northern Ohio chapter at [www.als.northern-ohio](http://www.als.northern-ohio).

Calling hours will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21st at Bernard P Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls followed by a service at 6 p.m. Special notice to all who knew LaDonna that she will be deeply missed but never forgotten in their hearts forevermore.”
