Joint effort between Health Clinic and NFL to offer vaccines and dental care services

NFL Alumni and Community Leaders Host Free Health Fair in Nashville, Encouraging Vaccinations and Healthy Lifestyles

On Saturday, April 20, a Nashville health clinic in partnership with NFL Alumni Tennessee, St. Luke CME Church, and the Tennessee CEAL Program of Meharry Medical College will be hosting a free health fair. The event will take place from 12 to 4 p.m. at St. Luke CME Church in the Buena Vista area of Nashville. In addition to dental services, diapers, and vaccines, there will be music, free food, and exercise classes available for participants.

Former Tennessee Titans players will be on hand to sign autographs and take photos with fans. A variety of vaccines will be available for attendees, including those for shingles, flu, RSV, Hepatitis B, HPV, pneumococcal, Tdap, and COVID-19. This initiative is part of the NFL Alumni’s “Gear Up Tennessee” program which encourages vaccinations and healthy choices like exercise led by former NFL players.

The event is supported by organizations such as the Conference of National Black Churches Dedicated Senior Medical Center Help to Moms Nashville Diaper Connection CEO Roundtable on Cancer Dr Donald Alcendor of Meharry Medical College Reverend Daryl Ballard II of St Luke CME Church will also be present at the church located at 2008 Ed Temple Blvd

The goal of the event is to promote healthy lifestyles and improve access to healthcare for the Nashville community. The event provides an opportunity for individuals to receive important health screenings and information about how they can maintain a healthy lifestyle through exercise and nutrition education.
