Cleveland’s Larchmere neighborhood has a new addition to its food scene, as UnBar Cafe opened its doors this month. The cafe was founded by owner Melissa Garrett, who recently won the $20,000 top prize at JumpStart Inc.’s Small Business Impact Program Showcase. The event celebrated the 20th cohort of JumpStart’s Small Business Impact program, which offers entrepreneurs personalized advice and business training over a 12-week period.
The showcase featured a pitch competition emceed by former Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Cribbs and his wife Maria Cribbs. The event was presented by the Cleveland Browns as well, with the Cribbs being known for hosting a local television talk show.
