New Executive Director Appointed at St. Paul Life Science Incubator in the Twin Cities

New Executive Director Eyes Growth for Life Sciences Incubator in St. Paul

University Enterprise Labs, a life science incubator nonprofit based in St. Paul, has announced the appointment of Brad Larmie as their new executive director. The announcement was made on April 2, 2024. In his new role, Larmie will be responsible for overseeing operations, investment strategy, programs, and partnerships for the 150,000-square-foot facility.

Larmie has a background in biological sciences and brings previous experience from roles at Children’s Minnesota, ChRi Laboratories, and Novartis. He expressed his excitement about the opportunity to take UEL to the next level and increase its contribution to Minnesota’s thriving life sciences ecosystem. Barbara Nelsen, Chair of the UEL Board, commented on the ambitious goals set for UEL’s future and the importance of having a qualified leader like Larmie.

Since its establishment in 2005, UEL has supported over 175 startup companies and currently hosts 65 tenant companies working on various projects, including medical devices, diagnostic tools, robotics
