Tiger Woods Hires Experienced Caddy for Genesis Invitational Comeback

New Chapter for Tiger Woods as He Brings on Veteran Caddie Lance Bennett at the Genesis Invitational

Tiger Woods is set to debut a new caddie at the Genesis Invitational this week. According to Golfweek, veteran caddie Lance Bennett will be on Woods’ bag at Riviera.

The change comes after Woods and his longtime caddie Joe LaCava mutually parted ways. LaCava has taken on a full-time bag with Patrick Cantlay. In the past, Woods’ business partner, Rob McNamara, has also caddied for him at events.

Golfweek reports that Bennett may not be a permanent solution for Woods’ bag, indicating that this may be a temporary arrangement. The report notes that Bennett has previously caddied for Matt Kuchar, Sungjae Im, and Davis Riley among others. Currently, he works for rookie Adrien Dumont de Chassart who is not in the field for the Genesis Invitational and represented by the same agency as Woods, Excel Sports.
