The NBA’s sixth annual California Classic will have a new format this summer, with the Kings and Warriors hosting an expanded dual event in both Sacramento and San Francisco. This event will feature three days of action at Golden 1 Center from July 6 to 9, showcasing the Kings, San Antonio Spurs, and Charlotte Hornets. Meanwhile, events at Chase Center will take place from July 6 to 10, with the Warriors, Kings, Los Angeles Lakers, and Miami Heat participating.
A total of 12 games will be played during this event, featuring rookies from the upcoming 2024 NBA Draft, sophomore players, and others looking to make NBA and G League rosters. The final game of the event will be between the Warriors and Kings on July 10 at Chase Center, highlighting the Northern California rivalry.
Modified game play rules such as 10-minute quarters will be implemented during the games. Team rosters and game matchups will be announced at a later date along with entertainment options for fans to enjoy during their time in Sacramento or San Francisco.
