Monday Night Football: Derek Barnett and Richie James Unavailable

The Eagles and Chiefs have finalized their inactive lists for Monday Night Football, with no surprises in store. Philadelphia will be without tight end Dallas Goedert, who fractured his forearm two weeks ago. Despite not placing him on injured reserve, the Eagles are hoping for Goedert’s return before four games. Defensive end Derek Barnett has been ruled out due to personal reasons, but the Eagles would likely have made him a healthy scratch regardless of his lack of sacks this season. The other inactives for the Eagles include offensive guard Sua Opeta, running back Rashaad Penny, defensive tackle Moro Ojomo, and quarterback Tanner McKee, who will serve as the emergency third-string quarterback.

On the other hand, the Chiefs have made punt returner Richie James inactive despite activating him back to the 53-player roster from injured reserve. He has not played since Week 2 and entered Monday with a questionable designation. The Chiefs’ other inactives include interior offensive lineman Mike Caliendo, defensive end Malik Herring, defensive end BJ Thompson, and defensive tackle Neil Farrell.
