Missouri Ski Resort Gears Up for Boost in Tourism
As winter nears, the excitement for ski season is building, and there are several ski resorts located near Kansas City and St. Louis in Missouri. One such resort is Hidden Valley Ski Resort, which has been preparing all summer for the upcoming season.
Tony Santora, the general manager of Hidden Valley Ski Resort, explained that they have been busy completing inspections and hiring staff for the upcoming season. The snowmaking process at the resort is a crucial part of their preparations. Santora described the snowmaking process, stating that they make all the snow that skiers use. It takes about four days of continuous snowmaking for the resort to make enough snow to open.
To determine when they can make snow, Santora mentioned that they look for a wet bulb temperature, a measure of humidity and temperature. In addition to skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing, the resort also provides lessons for beginners. This range of winter activities and lessons ensures that there is something for everyone at Hidden Valley Ski Resort.
Santora expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming ski season and looks forward to overseeing the preparations at Hidden Valley Ski Resort. With its stunning views and top-of-the-line facilities, Hidden Valley Ski Resort is sure to be a popular destination this winter season.
