Microsoft has announced the addition of Sam Altman and Greg Brockman to its ranks, following the chaotic events that led to Altman’s ousting as CEO of OpenAI. The two former executives have joined the company as part of a new team that aims to build something incredible.

The news was announced by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella on Monday, who stated that the company looks forward to providing them with the resources needed for their success. The company remains committed to its partnership with OpenAI and is working with Emmett Shear and the new leadership team at OpenAI.

Altman reshared Nadella’s post on the announcement, adding that “The mission continues.” After the dramatic board decision that led to Altman’s immediate ousting from OpenAI, there were reports that the board was considering reversing its decision. However, representatives for Microsoft have not yet provided a comment regarding the matter.

Brockman revealed in a post on X that he would be joining Microsoft along with Altman, Aleksander Madry, Szymon Sidor, and Jakub Pachocki as part of a new team focused on building something new and incredible.
