Mekhi Becton Set for MRI on Ankle Injury: Update from the NFL Star
On Sunday, the New York Jets were forced to make an early exit from their game due to an ankle injury sustained by left tackle Mekhi Becton. He did not return and was carted back to the locker room for further evaluation. Head coach Robert Saleh confirmed that there would be more tests done on Becton after the game, with reports indicating that he would undergo an MRI on Monday.
In Becton’s absence, rookie Carter Warren took over for him, causing the Jets to start their seventh different offensive line combination of the season on Sunday. With Monday’s test results determining the likelihood of using an eighth combination against the Dolphins on Friday, it remains to be seen how long Becton will be out of action.
