The Chiefs secured a 25-22 win over the 49ers in a thrilling overtime game, thanks to the talent of their quarterback Patrick Mahomes. In the final drive of the game, Mahomes orchestrated a 13-play, 75-yard drive that ended with a three-yard touchdown pass to Mecole Hardman, sealing the victory for his team.
Despite falling behind by 10 points in the first half, Mahomes was able to rally his team and secure the win. This was the third time Mahomes has guided the Chiefs to a Super Bowl win, and he was named MVP for his outstanding performance. He completed 34 passes on 46 attempts for an impressive total of 333 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.
In addition to his passing game, Mahomes also made big plays with his legs, contributing an incredible team-high of 66 rushing yards. His ability to make big plays both in the air and on the ground proved too much for the 49ers defense to handle.
As we look forward to the upcoming season of NFL football in 2024, Mahomes will have another chance to make history as he strives towards becoming the first quarterback to win three straight Super Bowls. Given his skill set and track record of success, it’s hard not to see him achieving this remarkable feat again.
