“Buckingham Palace is pleased to confirm that the Duke of Sussex will attend the Coronation Service at Westminster Abbey on six Might. The Duchess of Sussex will stay in California with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet,” the palace informed in a statement.

In early March, the Sussexes had confirmed getting official correspondence about the coronation through e-mail. It was then reported that Prince Harry was searching for an “apology” from the royal family members. He had then mentioned in an interview that the “door is generally open” for reconciliation with the royal family members.

On Meghan’s absence royal author Omid Scobie mentioned that Archie’s fourth birthday was a “factor in the couple’s decision”.

“Expect it to be a relatively speedy trip to the UK for Prince Harry, who will only be attending the coronation at Westminster Abbey,” the royal author claimed.
