Joey Logano Takes NASCAR Cup Race Victory, Securing Playoff Spot as Bell Loses Streak

Joey Logano emerged victorious in Sunday night’s NASCAR Cup race at Nashville Superspeedway after an intense battle that lasted for five overtimes. The thrilling race saw many twists and turns, with rookie Zane Smith finishing a close second, Tyler Reddick placing third, Ryan Preece in fourth, and Chris Buescher rounding out the top five.

Despite dominating both stages of the race, Christopher Bell crashed in the third stage and finished in 36th place, ending his impressive streak of five consecutive top-10 finishes. However, Logano held on to the lead throughout the race and secured the final playoff spot entering the race.

With his victory, Logano became the 11th driver to lock in a playoff berth through a win, leaving just five spots open with seven races remaining. Alex Bowman currently holds the last playoff spot, with Bubba Wallace trailing by 51 points and Chase Briscoe further behind by 78 points. Kyle Busch sits 104 points behind Bowman, hoping to secure a spot in the playoffs as well.
