Jerick McKinnon Returns to the Chiefs for Super Bowl LVIII Showdown Against 49ers

The Chiefs have good news for their Super Bowl LVIII matchup against the San Francisco 49ers: Jerick McKinnon is active for the game. McKinnon, who was placed on injured reserve during the regular season with a groin injury, will be on the field, which could give a boost to their short passing game. During the regular season, McKinnon caught 25 passes for 192 yards and four touchdowns in just 12 games.

On the other hand, the Chiefs’ inactives include WR Justyn Ross, WR Kadarius Toney, RB La’Mical Perine, CB Ekow Boye-Doe, DE BJ Thompson and LB Darius Harris. Meanwhile, the 49ers’ inactives are third QB Brandon Allen, OL Matt Pryor, WR Ronnie Bell, LB Jalen Graham, DL T.Y. McGill, DL Alex Barrett and CB Samuel Womack III.
