Inaugural Regional Science Bowl Held at Waste Isolation Pilot Plant

Intense Battle of Science Minds: New Mexico Military Institute Secures Spot at National Competition

This year, the Regional Science Bowl was held at Southeast New Mexico College and featured seven teams competing for a spot at a national academic science competition. The participating schools included Carlsbad High School, Carlsbad Early College, New Mexico Military Institute, and Hobbs High School.

The competition was intense as each team showcased their expertise in various scientific fields. The teams displayed their understanding of complex scientific concepts and mathematical principles throughout the event. It was a challenging and rewarding experience for all participants, highlighting the importance of academic excellence in the field of science.

In the end, it was the New Mexico Military Institute team that emerged victorious. Comprised of two sophomores, a junior, and a senior, they outperformed the other teams with their exceptional knowledge in math and science. They claimed the No. 1 title and secured their spot at the national competition scheduled for April 25-29.
