Illinois Corn Marketing Board Invests in Clear Flame Engine Technologies to Promote Sustainable Transportation Practices with Ethanol-Powered Trucks

Illinois Corn Marketing Board (ICMB) Chairman Jon Rosenstiel has announced that the board is investing in Clear Flame Engine Technologies to develop technology that converts diesel engines to run on ethanol. This investment will help increase demand for corn and provide new opportunities for farmers to utilize their supply.

Clear Flame Engine Technologies, based in Illinois near Chicago, has made significant advancements in the technology, with trucks now on the road running on 98% pure ethanol. The company recently sold its first converted truck and is currently conducting mileage tests with its fleet.
