Sports Emmys to Present Lifetime Achievement Award to James Brown, Renowned Sports Broadcaster

Iconic Sports Broadcaster James Brown to Receive Lifetime Achievement Honors at 45th Annual Sports Emmy Awards”.

James Brown, a three-time Emmy Award-winning sports broadcaster, is set to receive Lifetime Achievement honors at the 45th Annual Sports Emmy Awards ceremony on May 21. The ceremony will take place at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Rose Hall in New York.

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) President Adam Sharp praised Brown for his significant impact on sports media throughout his career. Brown has covered Super Bowls, championship games and has been a host on CBS Sports’ THE NFL TODAY and INSIDE THE NFL. His work as a correspondent for CBS News has also been recognized.

Stephen Head, the Head of the Sports Emmy Awards, highlighted Brown’s iconic career as a host of various sports studio shows. He praised Brown for raising the bar in the world of sportscasting. Upon receiving the award, Brown expressed humbleness and gave credit to the people he has worked with over the years.

Brown is known for hosting pregame shows such as THE NFL TODAY and NFL ON FOX. He has hosted the Super Bowl 12 times and has worked as a special correspondent for CBS News on programs like 60 MINUTES and CBS EVENING NEWS. With over 30 years in the broadcast industry, Brown has received numerous accolades, including the “2016 Pete Rozelle Award” from the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

In addition to his broadcasting career, Brown is an ordained minister and a Harvard University graduate. He is involved in various charitable organizations, including GENYOUth, The Ron & Joy Paul Kidney Center at George Washington University, and St Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Brown’s dedication to excellence and philanthropy has solidified his lasting legacy in the sports broadcasting industry
