Hitman Developer IO Interactive Appoints Ulas Karademir as New Chief Technical Officer

IO Interactive, the studio behind the popular Hitman and Project 007 franchises, has appointed Ulas Karademir as its new Chief Technical Officer. This marks a return to the company for Karademir, who has worked in various leadership roles at Unity and RealityOS for seven years.

As CTO at IO Interactive, Karademir will oversee the technical operations of the studio and lead the ongoing development of their proprietary Glacier engine. He will also work closely with the production teams behind current titles such as Project 007 and Project Fantasy. Karademir will report directly to CEO Hakan Abrak.

In a statement, Karademir expressed his excitement about returning to IO Interactive and contributing to the development of hit titles like Hitman, Glacier, Project 007, and Project Fantasy. He is committed to maintaining the studio’s reputation for innovation, great gameplay, and immersive worlds while striving to elevate their standards even further.

Abrak welcomed back Karademir to the team with open arms, praising his experience, knowledge, and leadership qualities. He emphasized that bringing in someone with Karademir’s expertise is crucial as IO Interactive continues to grow and develop new IPs for their players. Karademir will play a key role in driving the studio’s innovative endeavors moving forward.
