On April 3, 2024, Hawaiian Electric will be utilizing drones for aerial inspections of its infrastructure in the Kāʻanapali, West Maui area. The inspections are scheduled to take place from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, weather permitting.

The company’s Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) program is fully compliant with all Federal Aviation Administration rules.
