Beulah Academy of Science FFA Hosts Successful Future Farmer Field Day with Hundreds in Attendance

Harvesting Knowledge: The Beulah Academy of Science FFA Chapter’s ‘Future Farmer Field Day’

The Beulah Academy of Science FFA Chapter recently held their first “Future Farmer Field Day” advocacy day program, with the goal of raising awareness about the diverse industries and types of agricultural production in the local area. Educator Allie Eubanks stressed the importance of bringing attention to this vital aspect of our community.

The event welcomed over 100 fourth grade students from Cordova Park Elementary, local homeschool cooperatives, and incoming fifth graders from eight different elementary schools. Almost 20 different vendor booths were set up by BAS FFA to educate students about agriculture, featuring organizations such as the Florida Forest Service, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, and local farmers.

Eubanks expressed her gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the event’s first year and invited attendees to participate again next year. The day was filled with learning opportunities and interactive experiences for students to engage with the agricultural community.
