FLINT – Grand Blanc raised its record to five-1 Thursday with a 20-1, 9-five softball sweep more than Midland.

Lapeer splits with Bay City Western
Savana Ludeman and MaKynna Saltzman each homered for Lapeer and winning pitcher Carley Hoover scattered six hits and struck out eight whilst going the distance in a 7-three opening game win. Kaylee Whitney and Kylie Walton each had two hits for the Lightning. In the opener, Saltzman homered in an 11-1 loss.
LakeVille splits with North Branch
North Branch won the opener 9- prior to LakeVille captured the nightcap 12-eight. In the second game, Brooke Newbery had 3 doubles and 3 RBIs for LakeVille whilst Mayson Kelley and Mallorie Nevadomski added two this apiece.
Lake Fenton blanks Brandon twice
Camryn McMillian pitched her second straight shutout for Lake Fenton in the 15- opener, striking out seven. She also doubled and homered. Hannah Hooker added 3 hits and Leah Meyers homered. In the 20- nightcap, Meyers pitched her second straight shutout whilst McMillian homered. Lydia Slater, Reagan and Ava Gross had 3 hits apiece for the Blue Devils.

Owosso sweeps Chesaning
Zach Evon had two hits like a house run for Owosso, which also got two hits from Hugh Doyle in a 14-four win. In the nightcap, Evon’s two-run, walkoff homer gave the Trojans a 9-eight victory. Daniel Wittum led Owosso with 4 hits and Doyle belted a 3-run homer. Evon had 3 hits.
