Fraudulent woman misleads man with fake tractor ad, directs him to incorrect location

In the town of Vukovar-Srijemska, police officers from the PU of Vukovar-Srijemska and Bjelovar-Bilogora have uncovered a fraudster who obtained an illegal financial benefit of 500 euros by deceptively selling a tractor to a 49-year-old man from Posavski Podgajac.

The investigation revealed that a 27-year-old woman from Garesnica had lied about the sale of a tractor on the Internet classifieds “Marketplace” for 1,900 euros and led the man to pay her 500 euros through the “Aircash” account. However, when the man went to pick up the tractor at the address provided by the woman on October 4th, he discovered that neither she nor anyone else at that location owned or advertised for sale any tractor.

As a result, a criminal report was filed due to suspicion of committing fraud.
