Webinar on Feb. 13 to spotlight Idaho’s rural economy

Exploring the Complexities of Idaho’s Rural Economy through a Labor Economist’s Lens

The Idaho Department of Labor will host a webinar on Tuesday, February 13, featuring labor economist Ryan Whitesides discussing the diverse components of the state’s rural economy. The webinar will take place from 11 a.m. to noon MT and can be accessed via Zoom registration.

Whitesides emphasized that the definition of rural economy in Idaho can vary among individuals and encompasses various aspects such as demographics, population, land, public and private industry, farms, ranches, forests, national monuments, community gateways to national parks and more.
