Connecticut’s Economy: Challenges and Opportunities
On September 4th, the Connecticut Economy conference will take place, bringing together experts and leaders from various fields to discuss the state’s economic challenges and opportunities for growth. The keynote speaker of the event is Stacey Kennedy, the president and CEO of Philip Morris International’s U.S. business. She will be discussing the company’s economic impact in Connecticut, its innovation focus, and business transformations.
The conference will also feature the release of the CBIA Foundation’s strategic economic action plan, aimed at boosting the state’s competitiveness, attracting investment and talent, fostering innovation, and creating career opportunities. Paul Mounds from Yale New Haven Health will lead a discussion on the plan with economic development leaders from other states to share best practices for driving a sustainable economy and generational change.
Michael Brooder from Marcum will present the results of CBIA’s annual survey of Connecticut businesses, along with a panel of business leaders, exploring the challenges and opportunities in the evolving economic landscape. Attendees will have the chance to network with peers, policymakers, and other stakeholders.
