TWO Demos and Final Trailer Released for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth before Launch

Explore the Universe of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth in Advance with PS5 Demo: Fall of a Hero in Nibelheim and Dawn of a New Era in Junon

Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced the release of the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth demo on PS5, offering players a glimpse into the opening chapter of one of the most anticipated games of 2024. The demo will be divided into two parts, with the second section scheduled for February 21st, allowing players to preview the expansive game world before the official launch on February 29th, exclusively on Sony console.

During a State of Play dedicated to the game, in addition to the demo, the final trailer was also presented, which offers an overview of the plot and characters, including the group’s mission to chase Sephiroth to save the planet. The trailer also showcases new locations, minigames and returns familiar characters. A new battle system has been introduced that combines real-time action with strategic controls.

The “Fall of a Hero in Nibelheim” demo includes an extensive flashback section that allows players to relive key events from five years before the main events of the game. Later on February 21st, a new section titled “Dawn of a New Era in Junon” will be added to offer more exploration and combat possibilities.

The presentation offered a broad overview of the game’s features such as traversal methods in game world, new minigames and character interactions which influence how story unfolds. New information on protagonists and game mechanics such as skill trees and soundtrack were also showcased.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is part of narrative continuum of Final Fantasy VII Remake which received critical acclaim upon its launch in 2020. This new chapter promises to expand story even further while taking players on a new adventure on planet Earth with goal stopping Sephiroth and saving it.
