Empowering Women in STEM: Connecticut Science Center’s Women in Science Initiative

On Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, at the Connecticut Science Center located at 250 Columbus Blvd, Hartford, CT 06103, USA, representatives from Zygo Corp will be leading a Women in Science Saturday program. The event is part of the Connecticut Science Center’s Women in Science initiative which encourages girls and young women to pursue studies and career paths in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

The Women in Science initiative hosted by the Connecticut Science Center has a mission to encourage girls and young women to pursue studies and career paths in STEM fields. This initiative seeks to bridge the gender gap in STEM by developing original programming that engages girls in science and building a community of women in the sciences.

Furthermore, the Women in Science Vision of the Connecticut Science Center’s initiative is to envision a society where women and girls are widely represented and supported in their pursuit of STEM—as learners, teachers, and professionals. This vision aims to create an environment where women and girls feel supported and encouraged to pursue paths and careers in STEM fields.
