Michele Broadnax, an experienced fundraiser, public relations expert and program developer, has been appointed as the new President and CEO of LA’s BEST by the Board of Directors. With a proven track record of success in the nonprofit, for-profit and public sectors, Michele is dedicated to empowering students through education.
Michele’s commitment to equity in education is evident from her work with Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) Superintendent Alberto M. Carvalho. He expressed his confidence in her leadership skills and looks forward to partnering with her in providing safe and enriching afterschool programs for students.
Mayor Karen Bass recognizes Michele’s dedication to improving the lives of residents in Los Angeles community and anticipates working with her in this new role. She acknowledges Michele’s impact on children and families and is confident that it will continue to grow through her leadership of LA’s BEST.
