Edmonds City Council to Hold Budget Discussions at November Business Meeting

The Edmonds City Council has planned a special meeting at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 20 in addition to its regular business meeting the following night—Tuesday, Nov. 21. The agenda for the regular meeting includes discussions on the 2024 budget.

During the regular business meeting on Tuesday night, the council will honor Dave Teitzel for his years of service. Teitzel, who served on the council from 2015-19, was appointed in 2022 to fill out the remainder of Kristiana Johnson’s term following her passing. He did not seek election to the position. Additionally, Chris Eck, who won the seat in the November general election, will be officially replacing Teitzel at the Nov. 28 meeting.

The council will also be scheduled to hear a recommendation from the Edmonds Planning Board regarding the city’s Comprehensive Plan vision statement at a separate meeting beginning at 7 p.m., which is streamed live on various channels and allows attendees to comment virtually via Zoom or by phone during that time.
