Eagles Autism Foundation Earns Nomination for Sports Humanitarian of the Year at 2024 ESPYS

The Philadelphia Eagles have been nominated for the Sports Humanitarian of the Year award at the 2024 ESPYS on July 10. This recognition is in honor of their organization’s Eagles Autism Foundation, which is led by Chairman and CEO Jeffery Lurie.

The foundation’s goal is to provide funding for research and raise awareness about autism globally. The seventh annual Eagles Autism Challenge, a cycling/running/walking 5K event, raised over $8.1 million in 2024 and has raised over $30 million since it began in 2018. The proceeds from the foundation have funded 116 autism research projects and community grants worldwide.

In addition to funding research, the Eagles Autism Foundation provides year-round support, including a sensory room at Lincoln Financial Field, a neurodiverse employment program, and programs for individuals of all abilities. This dedication to supporting autism awareness and research has earned the Philadelphia Eagles a nomination for the prestigious Sports Humanitarian of the Year award.
