Discover the Force of Science at the Las Vegas ‘May the Science Be With You’ Event

Families in Las Vegas are invited to a unique and engaging event on Thursday, where science meets the iconic world of Star Wars. ‘May the Science Be With You’ is a collaboration between the Atomic Museum and the Desert Research Institute (DRI), promising an exciting day for all ages.

The event will feature a range of hands-on science demonstrations, interactive activities, and even Padawan training sessions. Kids will be able to explore engineering tools like snap circuits and remote controlled model rovers, while families can enjoy STEM and STEAM activities together.

Matt Malinowski, Director of Education at the Atomic Museum, explained why this event is so appealing: “Everybody loves Star Wars, right? So this is a great way to get down here and meet some Star Wars characters, have a bit of fun, and maybe learn something new.”

‘May the Science Be With You’ is part of the Las Vegas Science & Technology Festival and will take place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 755 E. Flamingo Road. In addition to the event, attendees can also visit half-priced exhibits at the Atomic Museum throughout the day.

Food trucks and community partner booths will also be present at the event, offering visitors delicious treats and opportunities to learn more about local organizations and businesses.
